The innovation bug in me surfaces mostly when I cook. And sometimes it has created wonders! Today morning while making
Dosas for breakfast and
Mini Idlis for my daughter's lunch bag, I suddenly remembered an old fizzy drink tag line which was a '
big hit' among my friends while in my
10th grade -
"Normal is Boring". I started thinking what could be better for a little girl than "
Little White Idlis" poping out of her lunch box? And the answer was instantaneous.
"Little PINK Idlis!'. Mixed dough with grated beet and look at the mouth watering result!
Made coconut chutney, the combination was delicious and looked all the more yummy! I could visualize all the girls in her class crowding around her lunch box so I packed a few extras too. Waiting for the rave review when she returns from school!
